Quepasa is partnering with Tutudo to make its ewallet payment solution available across all social games operating on Quepasa’s Latino-oriented social network. Tutudo’s ewallet system will allow social gamers to buy virtual currency through 70,000 different points of sale throughout Brazil, including newsstands and Internet cafes. Tutudo’s credits-based payment solution targets middle class Brazilian gamers, a demographic with a high ability to pay but low credit card penetration.
Users can buy Tutudo credits with their mobile phones. Quepasa plans to promote Tutudo as its exclusive point-of-sale payment solution in Brazil and Mexico. Tutudo in turn plans to begin featuring Quepasa’s social games in its media campaigns. Quepasa is pushing social games hard as part of its services, acquiring Brazilian social game developer XtFt earlier this year for $4 million. Quepasa is also part of the Viximo social game distribution network, which makes games like Ravenwood Fair, Backyard Monsters, and Resort World available to smaller social networks.
