Virtual world Woozworld has integrated Crisp Thinking‘s NetModerator community management platform. The automated platform will now operate in Woozworld’s bilingual community alongside human moderators. Woozworld is a virtual world for tweens that supports over 1 million user profiles and 3.8 million avatars globally. Crisp Thinking can automatically moderate in multiple languages and can help online communities remain COPPA compliant. Crisp’s platform uses real-time whitelisting technology to detect typical ways users try to get around traditional world filters, like adding letters, spaces, or numbers to words.
Crisp Thinking says that its platform can successfully moderate real-time user conversations without penalizing use of slang or simple bad spelling. Instead the platform builds anonymous profiles of users based on all the comments and actions taken by a user in a virtual world, online game, or Website. The platform uses these profiles and its analysis engine to understand language concepts and detects the intended meanings behind user-submitted content. The engine rates users against threat vectors like sexual predation and bullying.
