DoubleDown Interactive has launched three new video poker games in its DoubleDown Casino game for Facebook. DoubleDown Casino serves over 1 million monthly active users and 300,000 daily active users. DoubleDown says it is one of the first developers to offer video poker in a casino-themed social game.
“Our users have been asking for video poker at the DoubleDown Casino,” said Greg Enell, co-founder and CEO of DoubleDown Interactive, in a press statement. “To meet the demand, we’ve responded with 3 entertaining new video poker games, including ‘Double Double Bonus’, ‘Jacks or Better’, and ‘Deuces Wild.'”
DoubleDown says its video poker and other casino games like slots, blackjack, and roulette modeled in DoubleDown Casino offer the same thrill as real-world gambling without the need to travel or visit shady online sites. Like most other social games, DoubleDown Casino is driven by virtual currency. Users get so many chips to wager per day in games and can purchase more with real money.
What users of DoubleDown Casino can’t do is cash out their chips, which makes the social game exempt from the gambling laws that shut down several high-profile online poker sites over the weekend. DoubleDown says its game features 3D visuals for enhanced realism. Players are separated into 18 skill levels to help make multiplayer games more enjoyable.
