Mobile social gaming network OpenFeint announced that it helped publish 14 new games for Android in March as part of its development partnership with The9. OpenFeint has added over 215 games to its Android network since November, for a grand total of 315 games supported.

“At first, indie game developers chose iOS because it was the easiest way to distribute their games,” said OpenFeint VP of Marketing Eros Resmini, in a press statement. “As Google has improved the Android Marketplace and we’ve introduced game discovery and porting opportunities with AT&T and The9, iOS developers are more and more interested in Android.”

OpenFeint reaches over 73 million users in 214 different countries worldwide. OpenFeint says that right now most of its users come from North America, but that its Asian audience is growing rapidly. OpenFeint competitor Scoreloop maintains a similar publisher partner program designed to help iOS developers port their games to Android.

The 14 games are Can Knockdown from 2 Infinite Dreams, Doodle Bowling from GameResort, Grave Defense Silver Free from Art of Bytes, Guerrilla Bob from Angry Mob Games, Meganoid from Orange Pixel, Ninja Rush Deluxe from Feelingtouch, Pyxidis from Hyperbees, Return Zero from We Came From Mars, Snail Mail for Android from Sandlot Games, Speedx 3D Free & Full from Hyperbees, Stellar Escape from Orange Agenda, Stupid Zombies from GameResort, World Series of Poker Hold’em Legend from Glu Mobile, and Tank Hero from Clapfoot Games.
