Viximo Adds Orkut To Social Game Network
Viximo has added Google’s Orkut to its social games distribution network, which now reaches over 150 million users across several different social network and online platforms. Orkut is a top Latin American social network, particularly in Brazil. Viximo plans to launch Resort World, Backyard Monsters, and Ravenwood Fair on Orkut.
“We are delighted to work with Orkut,” said Dale Strang, CEO of Viximo, in a press statement. “We are able to bring our network of games to the site’s highly active game players. We are focused on bringing everyone more business success: Orkut gets great games, and the social games are category makers and first movers on a site with engaged players.”
Orkut draws over 55 million unique visitors per month, with nearly 20 million active daily. In addition to its large Brazilian and South American audiences, Orkut also draws a substantial number of users from India. Viximo says that Orkut boasts one of the highest user engagement rates in the world for social games.
“We are looking forward to launching Resort World on Orkut, and thanks to Viximo, we are able to do it easily and efficiently,” said Alisa Chumachenko, Founder & CEO of Resort World developer Game Insight, in a press statement. ”Viximo has made it easy for us to work across networks and operate our game in international territories.”
