SponsorPay Grows Users 700% In 2010
International ad offer network SponsorPay says its userbase grew by 700% from January to December 2010. The company expects growth to continue in 2011, thanks to new video ad and social media branding campaigns that will run in Europe, South America, and North America. SponsorPay also reported a 22% increase in user engagement and a 20% increase in user activity. SponsorPay’s video ad solution is designed so that advertisers only pay when users choose not to skip the ads, ensuring a better return on investment, higher engagement, and greater virality.
SponsorPay’s partners include LiveGamer, LOLapps, King.com, NHN USA, iJet Media, VZnet, and virtual world Smeet. The company closed two rounds of funding, a $5 million round led by Hasso Plattner Ventures and an undisclosed “seven-digit” round from InvestitionsBank Berlin. SponsorPay also partnered with Commission Junction last year to increase the size of its ad inventory. Roughly one year ago this month, SponsorPay began its 2010 growth spurt by acquiring rival Europe-focused ad offer network GratisPay.
