Location-based mobile social network Foursquare has expanded its Foursquare for Universities program, making its special university badges unlockable on every college campus worldwide. Foursquare’s very first college partnership was with Harvard roughly a year ago. Three months ago, Foursquare made its university badges available to 100 partner schools, which lead to 25,000 university badges unlocked by users in around three months.

Following requests from over 1200 schools to enter the Foursquare for Unversities program, Foursquare decided to simply roll it out to campuses everywhere. The Foursquare for Universities badge set includes Bookworm Bender (check into a library after midnight), Smells Like School Spirit (check into a sports venue five times), Quad Squatter (check-in at a commons area 10 times), Munchies (check-in at five separate campus dining facilities), and College Explorer (check-in to any 10 campus locations).
