IMVU Announces Growth, Promotion
IMVU has issued several announcements today concerning the growth of its virtual goods catalog, the promotion of Kevin Henshaw to Vice President of Business Development, and IMVU’s selection as a Red Herring Global 100 Tech Start-up. IMVU was selected based on its performance, technology innovation, management quality, strategy and market penetration. Henshaw joined IMVU in 2007 as Director of International Business Development after spending over a decade working in various sales positions with Adobe.
For its virtual goods catalog, which IMVU says is the world’s largest, the company released updated stats. IMVU’s virtual goods catalog now carries over 6 million items and grows by 7000 items every 24 hours. More than 50,000 users who designed new virtual items, called Creators, sold items to other users within the past 30 days. IMVU says that crowdsourcing creation of virtual items is a “superior model” because it gives consumer more and “fresher” choices.

If you only knew the facts about how they treat their “Creators” and customers it will make anybody run for the border! They admitted themself they tossed customer service aside (witch is true they have none and u cant even get anybody live on the phone) for technology.
