Retail outlets Wal-Mart and Best Buy have announced that they will carry prepaid cards redeemable for the Facebook Credits virtual currency. Facebook users can spend Facebook Credits in a variety of the social network’s apps, including over 200 social games from 75 different developers. Some studios, like RockYou and Zynga, have signed five-year deals to exclusively support Facebook Credits for payments in their games.

Retailer Target became the first store to sell Facebook Credits prepaid cards last month, in $25, $50, and an exclusive $15 denomination. Wal-Mart will sell the cards in $5, $10, and $25 denominations with a $50 card offered exclusively through Best Buy will sell the cards in $10, $25, and $50 denominations. The prepaid cards announcement follows a partnership with payment services provider PlaySpan that introduce 20 different new regional options that let international users buy Credits.
