Gala-Net Partners With Hi-Media Payments
Freemium online game publisher Gala-Net is partnering with Hi-Media Payments. Gala-Net users will be able to use Hi-Media's Allopass platform to make SMS and mobile micortransactions purchases beginning next month. Allopass also provides payment services through landline billing, prepaid cards, and its own electronic wallet system.
"We are excited to welcome a company the caliber of Gala-Net into our network of publishing partners," said Pooj Preena, CEO of Hi-Media USA, in a press statement. "Combining Gala-Net's leadership in the free-to-play space with Allopass's expertise in payments represents a big win for both companies, and ultimately, for the end users who will now have a great offering for the acquisition of gPotatoes."
Gala-Net publishes its MMOs in both North America and South America. A subsidiary, Gala Networks Europe, publishes its titles in Europe. All of Gala-Net's games are freemium titles that monetize by selling users a broad range of virtual goods in exchange for Gala's gPotatoes virtual currency. Gala-Net's games include Flyff, Rappelz, Tales Runner, Luna, Aika, and Allods Online.
