Vindicia is partnering with the prepaid card firm InComm to broaden its payment reach. The partnership will add support for InComm's prepaid cards to Vindicia's CashBox service. This will allow Vindicia's partners to accept payment through InComm's prepaid game cards. Payment types supported with the prepaid cards will include microtransactions, lump sum payment, and subscription billing. Vindicia's payment solution partners include Blizzard, Outspark, Cryptic, and Realtime Worlds

"We have seen 200% growth in prepaid gaming year over year, for the last two years," said Brian Parlotto, Senior Vice President of Consumer Products and International at InComm, in a press statement. "We’re pleased to partner with Vindicia so that our mutual clients can work with a single integration point to manage all of their payment options, maximizing their ability to acquire new customers and remain competitive in today’s complex and challenging online environment."

The idea is to expand the demographic range that Vindicia's partners can monetize through the prepaid card option. While certain age groups rarely have access to credit cards or PayPal, anyone possessing sufficient cash can purchase a prepaid game card from a local retailer. In particular, this new option would allow a player to potentially maintain a monthly subscription to a participating game purely through regular purchase of prepaid cards.

InComm reaches over a billion customers weekly with its prepaid game and gift cards, which it distributes through 220,000 retail locations. When it comes to prepaid game cards, InComm says its cards represent over 90% of the overall market. For Vindicia, gaming is only one of many industries it provides online payment services for, but its customers are among the largest and most successful developers and publishers in that segment.
