Korean online gaming firm CJ Internet acquired a 53% majority stake in Korean freemium MMO developer Seed9 Entertainment for $6 million back in February. CJ Internet is a major publisher of video games in Korea, working with both original IP and major Japanese brand properties like Gundam, Dragonball, and Ys. Games published by CJ Internet include SD Gundam Capsule Fighter, Ys Online: The Call of Solum, Dragonball Online, and Uncharted Waters Online.

Seed9 Entertainment is the developer of a freemium MMO "rhythm kart racer" called R2beat. Information available on the merger suggests that CJ Internet acquired Seed9 so it could secure Korean publishing rights to R2beat.  The game was published in Japan by Neowiz at one point, but currently only seems to have region-exclusive publishers active in Korea and China. The rest of the world is served by a global version of R2beat that may be accessed here
