InnoGames Raises “Double Digit Millions”

German freemium game developer InnoGames has raised a new round of funding from Fidelity Growth Partners Europe. The exact value of the round was not disclosed, but stated to be in the "double digit millions." InnoGames intends to use the new funds for growth, even though it already serves over 50 million registered users. Major hits from InnoGames include Tribal Wars, The West, and Grepolis. These games are published in 33 languages and available for play in over 200 countries. 

InnoGames is a major player in the European online gaming market, where it competes with the likes of Bigpoint and Gameforge for mindshare. InnoGames is a partner of the European ad offer network SponsorPay and works with Mopay for mobile payments. InnoGames's new funding comes from a £100 million fund raised by Fidelity Growth Partners for venture and growth equity investments in European tech-sector companies.
