Nexon has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire online game developer GameHI, reports VentureBeat. That would be a coup for the casual games and free-to-play MMO developer.Just this week it announced the acquisition of  MMO developer NDoors.  Like NDoors, GameHI would add both talent and titles to Nexon's arsenal. The company is behind a popular online first-person shooter.

GameHI also develops in areas closer to Nexon's core, though many of its titles have a darker, more adult twist than Nexon's best known works, like Maple Story. GameHI's 3D MMO Dekaron has been live since 2005 and has attracted over 20 million registered users from over 50 countries around the world. Of course, compared to the 2D MMO Maple Story's 100 million registrations, those are small numbers, but, perhaps importantly, numbers drawn from a different audience.
