Today the Japanese social game developer DeNA announced that it had earned $517 million in revenue in 2009, a record high. The company earned $205 million in Q4 alone, an 81% year-over-year increase and a new record for single-quarter earnings.

The company expects its record growth to continue, too. DeNA is projecting Q1 2010 earnings of $247 million, a figure that would be a 161% year-over-year increase.

Major DeNA titles include Pirate Treasure, Hoshi-Tsuku, and Kaito Royale. DeNA publishes its games on its Mobage Town network, which serves over 18 million registered users. It also licenses titles to other mobile social networks, which can earn the company significant revenue.

DeNA has been in business since 1999, but has only recently been moving into the social gaming space. Earlier this week the company announced a major payment and distribution partnership with Yahoo Japan. Last year, DeNA became a major investor in the iPhone developer Aurora Feint
