Quick Stat: FarmVille Passes 80M Users

Over the weekend Zynga's FarmVille set another record in social gaming, acquiring over 80 million monthly active users according to the AppData service. In addition, the game is currently serving 29.7 daily active users. Facebook as a whole currently serves about 400 million active users. 

At its current rate of growth, FarmVille is adding about 10 million MAU every month. It is not clear if Zynga is enticing more people overall to play FarmVille, or if the company is successfully increasing the game's stickiness over time. FarmVille's development team is constantly tweaking the app, so it seems likely that the latter is the case.
