Today Jambool, parent company of the payment provider Social Gold, announced a partnership with mobile pay provider Zong. The partnership would allow a mobile pay through Zong to be integrated into the new Social Gold for Flash API. Launched last month, Social Gold's foray into the Flash in-game microtransaction payments processing scene already serves 100 developers.

Jambool bills Social Gold for Flash as a totally secure patent-pending technology that allows users to pay in-game, perhaps to try and give their product an edge when compared to similar solutions like Mochi Media's Mochi Coins and Heyzap. The Zong partnership now gives someone buying virtual goods in a Flash game a credit card alternative that can be used to pay. Heyzap offers mobile pay through Boku, while Zong partnered with Mochi Media about two months ago.

Social Gold is already a big player when it comes to the Facebook social game payments scene, promising secure transactions using a variety of payment methods (including mobile pay). The social game version of Social Gold also allows for completely in-app payments, an option the company rolled out earlier this year
