This week the online games portal Ijji.com announced that it had surpassed the 9 million registered users milestone, a 40% increase over the number of registered users at this time last year. Ijji.com primarily hosts localized versions of Asian freemium games and generates revenue by selling virtual goods and virtual currency in them. Games currently available on the portal include Drift City, Soldier Front, Lunia, and Gunz: The Duel

The portal hopes to accelerate its rapid growth in the next year by hosting a suite of new freemium titles to complement its current library. Games scheduled to debut on Ijji.com in the next year include MMOFPS Alliance of Valiant Arms, MMORPG Soul of the Ultimate Nation, MMOFPS KARMA: Operation Barbarossa, and long-awaited MMOFPS Huxley: The Dystopia.

Ijji.com is owned and operated by NHN USA, an American branch of one of Korea's premiere online game publishers. All of its games feature support for LiveGamer's secure secondary market services, which let players trade and sell virtual goods and virtual currency to each other for real cash.
