Itsmy.com Updates Mobile Social Network For Summer
This week itsmy.com announced the summer update of its mobile social network features, available at m.itsymy.com/. The updates include new mobile social games and enhanced features. Among the enhanced features rolling out for summer are synchronized updates for other social media services like Twitter, mood-themed skins for profile pages, and virtual gifts. Itsmy claims that it has thousands of virtual gifts to offer users upon launch, which are delivered by email.
Itsmy's social network is Web-based, which makes it accessible from any mobile handset browser. This means the games are Web-based, too, and emphasize multiplayer features. Some make use of mobile-specific features like incorporating SMS text messaging into gameplay.
"Our technology and platform allow us to give all users a great mobile
social experience, independent from their mobile handset. People with
older handsets can easily play mobile games with smartphone owners.
This is the best way to guarantee that everybody has fun," said Jukka Saarelainen, CTO of itsmy.
Itsmy is a German-based company that's currently looking to take advantage of social networking trends on mobile in a big way. The company recently published a report claiming that 48% of all mobile users buy virtual goods when playing games.
