Today Virtual Greats announced that a line of branded virtual goods based on the Rocawear license would be appearing in Outspark's Project Powder online game. Project Powder is a snowboarding game with a heavy emphasis on customization of a player's in-game avatar and will be the first online game to play host to a Virtual Greats branded virtual goods line. Previously, Virtual Greats has worked with virtual worlds in creating licensed goods lines.

"Our online games and relevant user base provide great engagement channels for the right celebrities & brands. We’re excited about working with Rocawear, one the leading and hippest brands out there. Partnerships like these deliver the types of experiences and unique content we continuously seek to offer our community," said Wilson Kriegel, Outspark Vice President of Business Development.

The Rocawear goods available in Project Powder are different from the Rocawear products available in the WeeWorld virtual world. The Project Powder line includes sneakers, hoodies, and full track suits tailored to suit Project Powder's snowboarding theme. Prices on the Rocawear goods range from 2975 to 8155 Sparkcash, the virtual currency used in all Outspark games. USD converts into Sparkcash at a rate of roughly $5 to 3500 Sparkcash. The Rocawear items also have experience level requirements, making them an item only wearable by established players.

Rocawear is a lifestyle apparel brand co-created by superstar rapper Jay-Z with annual sales of $700 million. The line is based on the aesthetic of men's sportswear and primarily targets young, urban consumers. Rocawear's recent real-world success has lead to it expanding its brand into the Kids Headquarters line for children, M. London lines of handbags and belts, Endurance line of big and tall fashions, and many others. Now it seems Rocawear is growing its brand into the virtual goods space through its partnership with Virtual Greats, breaking new ground along the way.
