Today GMG Entertainment announced an exclusive partnership with Redbana, the North American publishing branch of Korean companies T3 Entertainment and Hanbitsoft. The partnership will allow GMG Entertainment to provide Redbana with prepaid cards that players can use to purchase the company's Bana Cash virtual currency. Right now the Bana Cash is usable in Redbana's Audition game and may be supported by other Redbana releases in the future.

The partnership will be officially announced at this year's E3 Expo, where Redbana will promote its games by giving prepaid cards away to show attendees. The giveaways will happen at Redbana promotional double-decker "London-style" bus.

An interesting footnote to this story is that Redbana is overseeing the Korean relaunch of Hellgate: London as a freemium title under new owners Hanbitsoft. In the past, Hanbitsoft has expressed interest in re-launching Hellgate in North America if it can obtain operating rights for the region. If this happens, then it seems likely that Redbana's Bana Cash and prepaid virtual currency cards would be supported in the new version of Hellgate in some fashion.

Redbana is only the latest in a long line of Korean game partners for GMG. Earlier this year the company announced an exclusive prepaid card deal with Gravity Interactive, publishers of the extremely popular Ragnarok Online freemium MMORPG. Other major Korean game partners for GMG include the gPotato portal, the GamersFirst portal, and both GamesCampus and OutSpark, which operate some localized versions of major freemium Korean MMORPGs.
