Scrapblog Closes $4 Million Round of Funding
Online scrapbooking site Scrapblog today announced that it had closed a $4 million round of venture funding with existing investors Disney's Steamboat Ventures and Longworth Venture Partners. This round brings Scrapblog's total funding to $7.5 million. This comes shortly after the launch of Scrapblog's Marketplace feature,
which allows users to purchase premium virtual goods for use in
creating online scrapbooks.
Currently Scrapblog serves an audience of approximately 2 million registered users, who have created 4 million online scrapbooks. In addition to the Marketplace, Scrapblog monetizes through sales of print versions of online scrapbooks and offering advertiser-sponsored virtual goods for use in creating them. [via TechCrunch]
